Ya also gotta back up the data on your flash drive every once a while.
I feel your pain, man. I typed 70 pages of character biogrphies for the book I was writing but my dinosaur computer crashed before...I could get a flash drive...But this just means you can rebuild something even better whether from scratch or not.

Perhaps you will remember to have a back-up stored somewhere in case something like that happens again. Of course, in all sincerity I wish that you find your flash drive. I never had one but I know how it feels to lose important information.
